Dream Analysis
Our dream state reveals alot about who we are and what is going on in our subconscious mind.
I have had a recurring dream for many years about losing my teeth. I have noticed a pattern which occurs where prior to a huge upheaval in my life I have the same dream of the despair I feel losing some or all of my teeth. Upon closer examination, I have revealed that this is my subconscious mind preparing me, or at least warning me of the emotional rollercoaster to come.
I analyse my dreams every morning and can usually relate them, or more specifically the way I feel in the dream to something that is occuring in my everyday life.
I have collated information about all aspects of dream analysis on this website.
What Dreams Might Tell You
Have you ever found yourself jolted out of deep sleep with your mind full of a series of scenes, a jumble of thoughts and images, and a tangle of stories that are so real yet so confusing? There are times when our dreams are simply too real for us to find difficulty realizing that we are asleep. How many times have you gotten up from bed, done your morning routine, prepared for work, walked out of your front door into the curb only to awaken to
find out that it was all a dream and that you are actually late for work? And then there are those who find recurring patterns in their dreams, some fanciful or petty, some terrifying. Just what do these dreams mean?
A lot of people have taken interest in dream interpretation to find meaning behind their dreams. For what reason they seek meaning would differ from one person to another. There are a lot of interesting finds in the internet that could shed light on dreams and dream interpretation. At dream4yourfuture.com, you can find several interesting articles to satisfy your curiosity.
It was in the 1970s when interest in dream interpretation became popular. Studies into dreams, however, have been done by psychologists as early as the 1900s. In Sigmund Freud’s The Interpretation of Dream, he delved into dreams and how they represent the unconscious thoughts of a person. Carl Jung followed in Freud’s footsteps in studying dreams.
Although his studies are similar to Freud’s, he believes that dreams are actually parts of the psyche that fail to manifest while you are awake. This view was re-examined in later years as the fact that there are traits that people exhibit both in dreams and while they are awake. Jung also purported the view that objects and figures that appear in dreams are symbolic of repressed attitudes. It is Jung who espoused that dream interpretation is something that is personal and dependent on each person’s attitudes, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences.
Wouldn’t it be interesting to find out what your dream means? Although there really is no one who understands why we dream, it would not hurt to try and see what your dreams could tell you. Whether it is real or not is really moot. If you are interested in knowing what hidden messages your dreams could hold, there are dream interpretation tools you can use. For people who are interested in dream interpretation as more than just a passing fancy, it is often recommended to keep a dream diary. There are dream dictionaries you can consult as to what dream symbols mean.
